Pastor Travis Decker

God has blessed me with a wonderful wife, Colleen, and three great children Breanna, Amanda, and Benjamin. I became the Pastor at Ottumwa Baptist Temple January 25th, 2015. Prior to coming to Ottumwa our family served 18 years as missionaries in Belarus and Russia. We now look forward to serving together with the members of this church to continue reaching the lost, and as stated in Titus 1:9, “Holding fast the faithful word…” I believe not only in preaching, but also in pastoring and “…being ensamples to the flock of God.” 1 Peter 5:3  Come join our services where you can worship the Lord along with us, and where you will hear strong Bible preaching which will refresh and encourage you to live a solid Christian life in the midst of an ungodly world.

My family and I are so blessed to be serving the Lord here at Ottumwa Baptist Temple.  My wife Kalean and our five children, Josiah, Isaiah, Elijah, Micah, and Ruth, look forward to continuing to serve God here for years to come.  As a classically trained musician, I strive to lead our music ministry to honor God with excellence and holiness that we may do as Colossians 3:16 say: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
